What We Believe

Part of our role at EqualVoice is to see the potential in individuals, teams, and organizations that they don't yet see in themselves. Our work at EqualVoice is based on the following tenants to help clients attain that potential. We hold ourselves accountable for living these in our lives and work.

  • We believe leadership can come from anywhere. To keep up in today's complex ever changing world leadership needs to come from everywhere.
  • The most powerful organizations are those where every individual has an equalvoice, where they can speak their truth and share their unique gifts and talents.
  • Along with the freedom of having an equalvoice comes accountability for what we say or promise.
  • Effective relationships are the primary vehicle for accomplishing organizational tasks.
  • Relationship building is an important component of every job.We gain energy by recognizing and acknowledging what is working well.
  • Authenticity builds connections and community and engages the hearts of people. True safety can only come from the vulnerable act of being real.
  • Acting courageously literally means to "stand by one's core". This means listening to our own internal wisdom in the face of external stimulation and distraction. Slowing down to reflect thus paradoxically leads to speeding up with more effective action.
  • Differences and conflict can lead to either polarization or synergy. The work "respect" literally means "the willingness to look again". We encourage exploring differences from a "right/left" perspective rather then a "right/wrong" perspective.
  • We are taught that we must choose whether to support people or challenge them. In reality, continuous learning and change requires that we do both simultaneously. We can learn to challenge each other for continued learning from a supportive, compassionate place.
  • Long term learning occurs best when people learn from experience, not from being told what they should be learning. Given the right environment, people will discover the insights they need for enhanced work and life.
