As the
principal of InnerCompass Coaching, Kim Marshall serves a wide
variety of clients, ranging from manager – and director –
level employees, to consultants, coaches, and entrepreneurs. Kim
also works with professionals in transition. What all these clients
have in common is a commitment to reflection and personal learning
as foundations for transformative action, professional success,
and personal satisfaction.
Kim's
coaching support helps people and organizations create results.
Her line management experience includes her work as Director of
Admissions at Outward Bound, where she generated 20% increases
in enrollments, stabilized staff turn-over, transformed departmental
morale and inter-departmental relations, and initiated inter-school
cooperative alliances.
Later,
in senior management as the school-wide Program Director, while
overseeing quality and safety in programs spanning four states,
Canada, and Mexico, she initiated a fundamental shift in organizational
culture that strengthened program safety and quality.

In both positions, Kim created results through
the same framework she uses to coach: thoughtful attention to
the big picture, strategic issues, and the creation of a dynamic,
reflective learning environment. She guides clients through shifts
in perspective to find that sweet spot where energy flows most
naturally – like finding the smooth "V" route in a rapids,
or the path of least resistance on a rock-climb. From this place,
where contribution to the world and personal satisfaction meet,
actions are most effective, and performance improves with grace
and ease.
Certified as a Co-Active Coach through the
Coaches Training Institute, and a member of the International
Coaches Federation, Kim also completed advanced training in
Mobius' Organizational Development-based coaching program.
She holds degrees in Human Development and Spirituality.
In addition
to her work coaching individuals, Kim serves as a board member
and frequent facilitator with TeamBuilders, Inc, and works with
other experience-based training and development firms from around
the country to deliver programs to clients from a variety of industries.
